Children's Size Guide (UK standard sizes)

Sizing can be tricky when kids grow so fast β€” we get it. Use this guide to find the right fit, and remember: when in doubt,Β size up. Many of our items also feature growth hems for extra wear.

πŸ“ How to Measure

  • Height: Stand the child flat against a wall, barefoot, and measure from the floor to the top of their head.

  • Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level and snug (not tight).

  • Waist: Measure around the natural waistline, just above the belly button.

  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of the hips.

πŸ‘Ÿ How to Measure Feet (for Shoes)

Getting shoe size right is important β€” and kids’ feet grow faster than you’d think (roughly a size every few months in younger children!).

Steps:

  1. Put a piece of paper on the floor against a wall, and tape it down so it doesn’t move.

  2. Have your child stand on the paper with their heel against the wall β€” standing with their weight on the foot gives a true measurement (sitting gives a smaller, inaccurate size).

  3. Make sure they’re sockless.

  4. Mark the longest toe β€” this isn’t always the big toe!

  5. Measure the distance from the edge of the paper (the wall/heel line) to the toe mark.

Size tip: Compare the measurement in cm to our shoe size chart (above), and aim for about a thumb’s width (1cm) of growing room at the toe.
